Sound scheme changed by Desktop Themes

It appears that, every time you change a desktop theme, the sound scheme is changed and any custom sounds selected previously are lost. I use Microsoft Money which installs with about 20 different unique sounds. Installing a new desktop theme wipes out all the Microsoft Money sounds as well and Microsoft Money suddenly becomes completely silent.

The first time I installed a new theme, I had to re-install Microsoft Money to get its sounds back. So that I wouldn't have to do this again, I saved my new sounds as a special sound scheme which I can reload at any time via a drop down box. Now, when I install a new theme, I go to Control Panel - Sound - Sounds Tab and reselect my custom theme to restore my sounds.

I'm not sure why desktop themes have to change the the existing sound scheme. If they must, can't they leave sounds alone that don't pertain to them, such as the Microsoft Money sounds, unchanged?

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a better way to manage it?

That's just the way it is now, the only thing you can do is save your theme once you have set the sound scheme and then it will remember the sound scheme for that theme.
