Windows 7 - XP network Sharing - possible ?

I need some advice on setting up network connection between my laptops
1. Windows7
2. Windows Xp

Is it possible to access, send / receive and share files between them WIRELESSLY ?

I have wifi router and built in modem [netgear]

I know that it could be easier if both had w7 on them
