Hi, There are three computers. One is a desktop connected through a LAN. The 2 laptops is connected through wireless from the modem from the desktop. Anyways, one of the laptops has the printer. My laptop can only see the desktop. The laptop connected to the printer can see both the my laptop and the desktop. Lastly the desktop cannot see anything. Sorry if this is confusing. Anyone know why it's not detected. I need to print something out.

Hi DLD

All the obvious questons. have you shared the printer the wifi connection etc?
if you type cmd in search then ping the name of one of the computers does it complete the ping with returns?
Are you using homegroup, or workgroup for networking?

Also I think you set up is ISP>desktop>> desktop modem>>wifi to lappy's, right?

if you have a firewall installed (installing AV software usually installs firewalls), try removing it first. I had McAfee on one of my laptops which was now seeing any other homegroup PCs, adn when i removed McAfee, everything was fixed. I ended up using the free Microsoft security essentials program instead.

All 3 computers have the same firewall (Bitdefender) so I don't think that can be the problem. However, the laptop connected to the printer can see both the main computer desktop connected to the router, and my laptop. My laptop can only see the main computer desktop, not the laptop connected to the printer, and the desktop can only see my laptop. Any other input on this?
