Complete Freeze up in GTA 4

Hello,

After playing GTA 4 from anywhere between 8 to 15 minutes the PC will completly lock up. I cannot CTRL+ALT+DEL out I have to restart the system. When Windows comes back up I get this dump.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate. I have updated drivers and completly reinstalled the game, Defrag, everything I could think of to prevent this from happening.

Thank you.

Use ATI Tray Tools or similar to control the fan speed. Set to max while playing. If you're overclocking anything at all, reset to default speeds, to test.

You have a hardware issue. You can see this 0x124 thread to try to troubleshoot it:

The minidump file is corrupt but I was able to see this. Have this updated too and post a new crash dump if needed as well:

I don't have anything overclocked and I normally run the graphics card with the fan turned all the way up because the 4870x2 runs hot from the start. LSI SAS is refering to my HDD controller card I have two 15k sas drives connected two it in raid zero. The HDD is my lowest WEI score to I thought for sure that would have been my highest so maybe that is part of the problem. I noticed in the dump file that it also refered to a Vista driver and the cpu's.

For 0x124 errors, you really can't go on anything else in the dump. The problem is not outlined in them because it's reported differently.

So I would definitely update that driver I said as the first step. If not, that troubleshooting link has the best advice anyone can give.

H2SO4 is amongst the best of the best.
