Where's the nice design of Windows Media Player 11 ?

Hi folks

With Windows 7 and Windows Media Player 12 I really miss the design of Windows Player 11. It was so beautiful and I loved it.

I checked all skins available, but I did not find a WMP11 Skin.

Anybody has the same problem? Is there no way back? Why did Microsoft do a step back in design???? :huh:

Same here! I think the WMP12 quality is terrible.

It's horrible, I agree... makes the 'N' versions of Windows7 more attractive!

I wonder if there's any possibility of adding WMPv11 to Windows7 'N'... :p

I've found it helps to set DVD's to play in WMC instead...

I downgraded today to Windows Media Player 11, but I didn't get my shiny buttons on the player back (strange) :rolleyes: so I activated WMP 12 again.



Now I'm trying two things in parallel:
  • using VLC media player with the WMP 11 skin
  • using windowblinds to have a nicer look on all my ugly windows ;)
see the pic attached for the current look of my players (left is VLC, right is WMP12).
