move files ... rename drive?

I have all my programs stored on the P: drive but its running out of room and the D: drive is available.

Question: If I move all the programs to the D:\ drive and rename it to P:\, will everything run from existing shortcuts?

Is there a simpler migration I am overlooking?

Why don't you just move everything to the D:\ drive?

um, that's what I said. My concern is that all the installation shortcuts will refer to programs on the P drive and not operate. I am trying to avoid reinstalling all my programs.
