I use AIM 5.9, and everytime I start up my windows 7 RTM x86 and log in, my AIM, which is set automatically to start with windows, doesn't show up anywhere. I check my task manager, and I see aim.exe. I end process, and open aim again. Doesn't show up again. I have to do this maybe 3 times before it finally shows up. Also, I think turning off my internet before logging in fixes this problem. Also, I have kind of the same problem with ventrilo. Although it doesn't automatically start with windows, if i'm using ventrilo and exit it, it doesn't actually dissappear from the processes tab. I have to end process. This might happen with a few other programs but I can't really remember which, if at all. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Welcome!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling those programs?
Just a thought, may or may not work.
