Welcome, we will need a lot more info before anyone can help. System specs would help.

It would be good to know what type of modem/router/adapter/. Do you have a wired connection or wireless?

Did this just happen or are you trying to hook up a new router/modem?

If your "image"is exactly the same as this one, you probably have an eternet cable hooked up.

I would unplug you modem/router or both if you have both...wait 30 seconds and plug them back in. That's a good start.

This just happned. I am not using the wired adapter so no ethernet cable is hooked up. both wired and wireless are realtek. I am using wireless it used to show wireless signal bars now it is a plug with a red X i already reinstalled the network adapter drivers no luck. I did get the local & internet working but still showing the red X and no bars? see attached image.

So you have a router. Cycle the power or the modem and router.

I have to go but I will be back in the morning. I hope someone can help you tonight if reseting the appliances.

Good luck to you.

I found the solution on MS site..

Open up a command prompt go to root and enter "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" reboot now all is working..

Thanks for the help even though it took some searching.
