Back up stalled

I did my 1st back up with Windows 7, i set it up, inserted blank disc, and it seems to be stalled at 25% saying copying files to E:/


Been like that for 20mins


How long should it take? i dont have that much



Im only 14 and dont have enough money for an external hard drive, and would fine it
useless to buy one just for backing up


I'm using a Verbatim CD-R
compact disc recordable 700mb

I know 700mb isent much, but it wont let me add a new disk to the CD tray, and it doesn't say i need a new cd

You found out the hard way like I did. If you are using system image, making the image on a CD/DVD, it does not work. I found out, others verified, that it stalls on the 2nd DVD. I had to pull the plug. There was no other way to stop it. Alt Cntrl Delete, holding the shut down buttton, nothing worked. You have to put it on a external hard drive.

I now use paragon, software to make an image of my HD. I cannot get the link as the site seems to be down at the present. Just put paragon free back up in google and you can find it. It works like a charm

The best way to backup files is to drop and drag them to your external, other partition or DVD.

You can put the Backup Image in a primary formatted partition for easy detection from the booted Win7 DVD.
