System Variables Help

I installed the Android SDK and Java that was needed with it and had to make changes to System/System Properties/Environment Variables/System Variables/Path.

I think i deleted what was in there by default. A lot of my programs wont open, I get .dll not found errors.

Anyone have a Gateway FX Desktop that could check and see what is in the Path?

Just do a system restore from a time before the "incident. You will be sure that everything is back the way it was.

Type system restore in search and pick the point that should be error free.

Thanks,

I just did the upgrade to windows7 2 days ago I tried doing system restore before that and couldnt get it to work. Unfortunately Gateway doesnt send restore disks with a new pc so I had to order restore disks from their site. Was just hoping I could get out of restoring or doing a clean install but that might be what i need to do.

Check your computer manual. There is a combination of f keys, so you can restore to factory specs.

The main paths that probably should be there:
Code:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;

After hours of reading, uninstalling iTunes and QuickTime and reinstalling I found one suggestion to look for CTCF.dll in windows/system32 and windows/system and if it was in there drag it to the desktop. I found it in system32. Dragged it to the desktop and iTunes/QuickTime work perfectly fine now.

Thanks for the replies and trying to help
