Cant send email from MS Works File using W7

I downloaded live via essentials as told to on another thread.

I cant send email from MS Works File using W7. In the word processing when I right click and click on send nothing happens. When I click on the mail icon it says mail but won't send

In the spreadsheet one the send is darkened out

Any suggestions. Thanks Dorothy

Hi Dorothy and welcome

Its probably just that WLM is not associated with the extensions in works. You can associate them by going control panel>default programs>associate

Its probably just that WLM is not associated with the extensions in works. You can associate them by going control panel>default programs>associate

I don't know what to do when I get to that page. Do I have to do something 1 time or every time i want to send a file? Do I do what you say from the specific file each time i want to send 1?

Not your fault Dorothy Mine.I dont have works so sent you to the wrong place by mistake. You will learn, all of us were new at some point. lets try this first. go to control panel>default programs as before but go instead to set your default program (see the pic). Set WLM to be your default email client. then try sending.
