I have had an HP7280 "All In One" Printer. since Nov "08", I never could get it working on my old XP..( YES! Never worked, system continued to say " file Missing, etc") Now I Have a New Dell Studio Desk Top and system now says the printer is incompatible with the Desk Top...:(. What can I do to make this work. Please be as clear as possible, as though you wre talking to a child - Any help will be appreciated, Buying a new printer is out of the question. Hello Don, welcome to the Seven Forums.

If you have installed HP software from the CD you got with your printer, this is what you should do:

Do not connect the printer to the computer before the installation tells you to do so!

It should work now.
