My computer will periodically either not shut down properly or go to sleep. also at times certain programs do not open although the task manager says the process is running. i have attached the minidump file, i need someone to help me figure out what it means and how to fix the problem. Thanks

It sounds like you could have some power issues. You could read through this and see if any of it works. It looks like you may have other problems too. This link MAY help you out a little. The rest I will have to defer to someone more knowledgeable. If I can think of anything else I will post.

This indicates a hardware fault although software can sometimes be the problem have a read through this link might give you some ideas of where to start

I would start with checking system temperatures and ensuring all components are firmly seated in their appropriate slot, check fans and heatsinks are working and in good order not gunked up with dust especially your graphics card/fan (these often seem to be the problem)
Then go through the driver updates

Post back your findings

Thanks pauly. All my drivers are up to date but as far as the internal components i dont know much about their positions and such and Unfortunately i dont have the tools to tinker with anything inside. Temperatures are all ok, a little high but not too bad (63 degrees Celcius). If i get my hands on the right screwdriver and such ill post more findings
