Hey everyone,

Bit of an odd problem actually. I'm not sure where exactly the problem is, but posting on some of the other forums in here has got me no replies, so here I am.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Professional with a Nvidia GeoForce 9500GS with the driver set 8.17.11.9621 which is the most recent. I'm also using a HP w2270h 1080p 22 inch wide screen monitor.

Everything works great, Games run like a dream ( including recent stuff like Mass Effect 2 ) but....

All my movies are way off the color scale. Flesh is blue, lips are green etc etc.

Any ideas what could be causing this? It's only effecting movies, no other aspect. But for someone who has 80 or so movies burned, this is a bit of an issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have an idea, if you type in "color" in the search box, you should see "color management" click that.

See if there is a profile. If there is a profile, delete it and click the box that says "use current settings" (or similar)

I am at work and don't have access to my Windows 7 machines, but I had a similar problem and this solved it. It is probably a custom color profile created by a monitor driver. You just need to delete it and click the "use current settings" box.

I hope this works for you.

I just tried what you suggested. Opened the color management settings, and deleted the current profiles and set top default. I then restarted to make sure everything was reset for good.

Unfortunately, It didn't work. Everything in my videos is still blue. I even tried updating to the Shark007 codec's to see if that helps, but it did not.

And this only happens with your videos huh? It must have to do with codecs. What type of files are these? are they all the same file type? (the ones that don't look right) Are you using WMP to view these?

Also, try going to the "Nvidia control panel" and adjusting the "Gamma" settings and/or contrast if you haven't done this.....

I also found this.....might help.....

Thanks man!

After fiddling with the nvidia settings, I got it. The nvidia control panel was overwriting the individual players color schemes and fubaring it. Works fine in VLC and Media player now.
