I just got a new HP with Vista a month ago. I feel like such a newbie...well, I am. I used IE for 4 years and had a lot of confidence...not anymore.

Well, first, I wasn't sure where to post this...so if it needs to be moved, please do so.

I have a website and do a lot with graphics. My Nvidia card has a problem, I spotted that right off, but I'll get to that later.

Here is one of my problems. I download a lot of graphics to a specific folder to unzip. I then like to open them with one of two programs to see if it's a keeper, either PSP9 or Animation Shop (AS). Here's the glitch. Whenever I open a graphic into AS, it opens another AS window with another window copy of the AS program. It doesn't do this with PSP, only AS. So I have to delete AS each time I use it for the Open With option, or I wind up with a dozen AS versions in the Tool Bar.

I'm laughing as I type this because it really is funny, but it's a darn pain in the rump too. By the way, I am not a whiz bang on the computer, just sort of able to keep it from self-destructing. So any help you can give me in plain English would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, in addition, I did learn through research about the additional folder in Programs, (x86) for older 32 bit programs, so my PSP and AS are in the proper folders.

I'm sure I probably messed up something in the first week or so of use, I just don't remember a lot I did...I'm recovering from spine surgery and sometimes feel like I've been in lala land.
