Sabrent USB 2.0 TV Tuner

Hello All,

my first post here... :)

I purchased a while back a Sabrent USB 2.0 TV Tuner, it works perfectly in windows xp, I still use it with my Netbook, but cant seem to get it to work in my Windows 7 PC.

Seems to be a driver issue, when I connect the USB device Windows 7 automatically installs a TV Walker QQ driver, and cant seem to get it off this driver. I downloaded whats supposed to be thw Windows 7 drivers off the sabrent website site, but to no avail, windows just says that the TV Walker QQ are the latest drivers...

Anyone had any issues with this same model and brand unit....any suggestions...?

tks

Eric

Hi Eric,

Go here, select 'TV Tuners' from the dropdown, scroll down and click the arrow next to 'TV-USB20'. Then click the download button next to 'Vista & 7 64-bit'. You can install the driver manually from the contents of the zip file. Let me know if you run into any issues along the way.

Cheers,

I managed to figure this much out on my own, and have no problems with my computer registering the drivers; however, the tuner doesn't seem to find any channels with any level of reception. I've snooped around and found that there are other people with this problem. Do you know of anybody who has made it work?

Hi there,

I haven't heard of anyone else with that issue but I'll certainly post back here if I do. Out of curiosity, what bit version of Windows 7 are you running?

x64, naturally.

The funny thing is, I can get it to be recognized by the computer and multiple programs, but not a single one can actually do anything with it.

I also have one of the cheap, TV Box video input to USB devices. I have tried many different drivers, XP, Win 7 32bit, Win 7 64bit, and it still does not work. When I tried to do a Microsoft based driver update, it replaces the vendor driver with Walker QQC(?), but that also does not work. I get a 'device failed to start, error code 10' message when I try to add legacy hardware to install the drivers. The normal Add Hardware searches forever for a new device and never comes back to give me a chance for a manual install. If I do not have the driver already installed, when I plug the TV Box in to a USB port, instead of bringing up a new hardware found dialog box, it just keeps dinging and dining. I fear I will have to but new hardware to get a composite video signal into the computer to display. I need this for an Underwater Robotics competition, where all the cameras on the ROV I have made are NTSC analog.

I got the driver files from http://www.sabrent.com/#itemName=&itemID=0&section=Drivers

I'm having the same problem...

I have a Sabrent TV-USB20 and running Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit on my PC
installed the driver for my platform on Sabrent USA
all 3 options, I installed them on my computer, but still after this, the computer does not recognize the device.
I go to install manually through device manager and Windows says that the driver is not compatible with windows 7 64bit (even when I'm installing driver for win7).
Any suggestions???
