Hello.
I am new to the forum & windows 7. It is only my preferance, but I would like to ask the forum if it is possible to change the way that the folders are displayed in my music & my Pictures.
When you open them in Windows 7. the folders are displayed as though you are looking at an open folder, and when you customise them with your own picture icon, these are not clearly visable. Can you change the folders to the same as they were in Windows XP. I.E When you open these options, you see a plain front view of a folder, and when you customise them you own icons are clearly visable.
Thanks to all who reply.

Thanks for the reply, but I think I may not have explained it well.
I have customised the folders in my music, to show the album cover, and when you open My music in windows 7. the folders are displayed as shown in the attachment.

I want to know if I can change the way the folders are displayed, to be the same as they are shown in the XP style attachment.
Thanks

I don't think there's a way to display the folders in 7 like xp did before. But you can change your folder views. See attachment below.:)

You could use this program IcoFX - The Free Icon Editor to convert copies of your coverart to 256x256 icons.
Then use those icons to replace the open folder view, rt. click on folder, properties, customize tab, change icon, browse to your new icon, select, apply, OK.
I've been slowly doing this to my movies, it's not a quick process but if that's the look you want it will work.
