Coputer will not resume from sleep

Problems,when my computer goes to sleep it will often not resume and the only
way I can get back in is to switch off power.When it resumes I get "start up repair" which will only repair if I go into safe mode switch off and the switch on manually also it has lines on the screen : see screen shot

Seems like you're having numerous issues now, and those lines highlight a bigger issue imo. But I would try a reinstall, and use these guides to do it...

Windows 7 64-bit clean install guide in FZ-190E (Says 64bit, but use the 32bit drivers from your support page, or the 7 drivers which you'll find the link to in my signature.)

NVIDIA driver problem, update your drivers... either get from SONY or get it from NVIDIA... Looks like a display driver went south...

Looking at your screenshot, that looks like a display driver malfunctioning... But you might want to update everything while you're at it...

As there is little support for older models, we have to use a modded inf. Follow the link in my signature and use the 195.81 drivers, which are running fine for me.

I have the Z21 Driver package would the display driver be the NIVDA
Graphics? as (NVIDA) 7.15N-20.0.18

The drivers from your support page are Vista ones - Vaio : Sony Europe, so considering how old the laptop is, the drivers are a few year old now.

Can I just double click and install ,what about the presnt drivers will this update autmatically

You'll have to install the previous drivers first and reboot, then proceed to install them.

Regretably they will not install message says only for windows XP and 2000
