Hi,

Don't know if this is the right subforum for my issue. Please move the thread if needed. :D

I have 1 Corsair P128 SSD (with the last firmware which supports TRIM) for OS (Win 7 x64 Pro) and 2 Western Digital HDD in RAID1 for data. They are all connected to the same Intel controller on my EVGA x58 3x SLI. I think the controller is Intel ICH10R. (I might be wrong about this last one.)

I'm reformatting my SSD soon and reinstalling Win 7 x64 Pro on it. I'm planning to still have the SSD for OS and the 2 HDD's in RAID1 for data. Which option for SATA mode should I choose before the installation? My BIOS displays 3 mode IDE, RAID, and AHCI. If my SATA mode is set to RAID, will TRIM be supported?

Please be specific, if you can, when replying, for I'm pretty new :p.

Thanks.

AHCI should give you the best results. TRIM in Raid: depends. If the Raid controller supports TRIM (which is rare), it will work, else not.
