Toolbars - How to Use in Windows 7 and Vista

Thank you very much for this. I currently use XP and have toolbars on the left, top and right of my desktop so have been looking for a way to do something similar with Win 7 which, as far as I know, does not allow toolbars on the left, top and right at the same time as the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop.

I didnt know I could use the toolbars like this.

As a right-handed "mouser" creating the Start-menu-style, toolbar on the right hand end of taskbar suits me very well.
My ClassicShell Start menu is bulging now, mostly due to a lack of my housekeeping, a lot of shortcuts to executables, URLs, and often used files and folders

I like the simplicity and accessability of this menu style toolbar on the taskbar.
- compact footprint does not hog taskbar nor desktop real estate
- I have never seen the point of highly animated floating "carousels" ... more toys than tools.

There are a lot of 3rd party apps that float, spin, twirl or reside in the SystemTray, but most of them are "abandoned" by their developers and/or there is no support. I have tried 19 to date.
