BSOD after windows 7 ultimate upgrade

since I recently upgraded to windows 7 ultimate from vista home I have been getting a blue screen and it seems to be getting more frequent... i tried using windows debug to read the .dmp file but for some reason i cant seem to get it to work.. if someone could help me i would really appreciate it

Most people will tell you that you should really do a clean install. If you have any room left on your drive, create a new partition and install Windows to there. Then copy over all your old stuff your from original partition. Your Vista stuff that was kept during the upgrade will be located in C:/windows.old . After you move that folder over, you can format and delete that old partition.

im not gonna lie.. i honestly have no clue how to do that lol... i mean im somewhat sure i know how to create a new partition and i know where to find them in disk manager.. but thats about the extent but im open to help
