Belkin intros new line of wireless routers with built-in apps.

Belkin has launched a new range of routers which it claims are capable of doing more than just silently connect devices in your network. The new Surf, Share, Play, and Play Max are the first routers to embrace the concept of apps, with each model bundling different sets of utilities to handle things like playing music, games, and HD videos as well as share photos and print wirelessly from anywhere in your home.

Thanks JMH, will have a read later. Must admit, I've never much liked Belkin routers (esp. the new wireless N models), and esp. disliked their client wireless software although one is not forced to use that. Others?

Completely different opinion here, sorry Manhunter. I posted this on another thread last summer:
Hi twinmc. If you are looking something really good, I recommend Belkin Wireless N+ USB Adapter (image 1). It has a wide range, been working really good for me.

I use it when not at home or office, my laptop has built in wifi so I do not need it at home. But when on the road and wifi signal in hotels and airports is weak, I'll use Belkin USB adapter and normally get signal very strong.

Together with Belkin N1 Vision router (image 2) it makes a powerful combination. My local pub is about 200 metres ( 1/8th of a mile) from my home and they have no wifi. So when I take my laptop with me to the pub and connect Belkin USB adapter, it finds my home network (above mentioned Belkin router) and can connect to the internet over my own network.

Been using Belkin products now a few years, never had anything negative to say.

What makes me a believer is the fact described in my post, that I can use my WiFi network so far from the router.

Belkin router [Wireless / VOIP ] used here. No complaints whatsoever. Excellent support on installation. Haven't needed to seek help since.
I will check out their new product asap.
