Alright I think I have read just about every thread relating to Networking 7 & Xp. My symptoms seem to be slightly different than others altough I could be wrong. 2 XP computers can see each other but cannot see the 7 computer. The 7 computer can see the two XP systems in the Network Map and can ping both XP machines but the 7 computer cannot see the XP machines in Network Places.
-All computers are on the same workgroup
-I have gone through the tutorials setting the home or work advanced settings:
-Turn on Network Discovery
-Turn on File and printer sharing
-Turn on sharing for everyone
-Use 128 bit encry
-Turn off Password protected sharing
-Use user accounts and passwords to connect to other computer

Go through this tutorial about sharing with XP, click on the XP tab, it should help.
Sharing files and printers with different versions of Windows - Help & How-to - Microsoft Windows

This one is more general but has good info.
Networking home computers running different versions of Windows

It can also help to get around password problems if you use the same username and password on all machines in the LAN.

After going through all of that if you are still having file access problems try doing this registry adjustment on the Win 7 machine with the problem.

Solution is really easy just modify one key in registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
create or modify 32-bit DWORD: LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy
set the value to: 1

I will go through these tutorials, something I failed to mention. Previously I had it set up and everything worked, not something I use on a regular basis, maybe once a month. To share music files and update work files on the network. It has been working for about 4 months, now all of the sudden I am experiencing problems over the past week.

Thanks again...I'll et you know what the results are after I go through these tutorials.

Sorry for the delayed response, I have not had time to try these fixes. I went through the tutorials, nothing. I added the same login to each computer, nothing. Although I would not see why this would fix the computers still showing in the browser, I would think this would not allow me access once I try to enter the other comuter. I changed the registry and nothing.
I am lost to find a solution, I am contemplating reformatting and starting over. I am wondering if something I have installed has created a conflict.
Thanks, any suggestion is appreciated.

At this point I would say that which ever AV or third party firewall you have installed is causing the problem.

The only AV I have installed is the Microsoft Security and no thrid party firewalls. Deinstalled all anti spyware software, WinPatrol and Spybot.
Still no luck....
After all of this, I will run through the tutorials again...and see if anything has changed.
I'm keeping the hope alive before I reinstall.

Are they all on the same workgroup... as set in Control Panel->System-> Computer Name?

XP doesn't much care about this but Win7 appears to...

Also... in addition to the settings you listed in your original post, make sure the win7 machine is on "Work network" not "Home Network"...

You will love this one, I partition my drive and loaded a second version of Win7. Well as soon as I get it setup, no internet connection and no network capabilities. After doing all of the normal setting changes with no luck, I logged into my ATT U-verse Router and they have done a software update on the router which has changed settings to default, the firewall was set to full security mode no in or out bound traffic without setting it up on the router. Once I set the firewall up, I had internet connection and networking capability. The strangeness is that it did not affect the XP computers. Anyways, I seem to be back up and running after a week.
