Looking at your power supply of 250 watts, you won't have enough power to support the 9400GT which requires a minimum of 300watts.

The best you can do with a 250 watt power supply is the Gforce 6200 PCI. It's all you need to support Aero with Windows 7. I'm using one on my 10 year old compaq. Aero works fine with it. Ebay has them cheap.

if your going to upgrade the powersupply then your choices rae pretty vast, I have an older Dell xps400 and I slapped a GT8400GS 1GB in it, and it runs wonderfully in it, not bad card for some games either. and the power needs where low that the 375W power supply was plenty.
