Best setup to run HD 1080P MKV movies pn Acer 3610

I recently purchased a Acer Aspire Revo AR3610-U9022 Intel Atom 330(1.60GHz) 2GB DDR2 160GB NVIDIA ION graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It is intended to be a Media Player PC in Master B.R. Main PC down stairs is Intel I5 Windows 7 64 bit. It by the way plays all HD movies fine in Media Center. After doing all the stuff that is recommended, remove bloat, update drivers, turn off unneeded services and startup processes etc etc, I have not been totally succesful with playing HD 1080P files, (mainly ripped blu ray to MKV, all using same rip software). I have loaded the latest shark007 32 bit and 64 bit packs. Have selected recommended settings in both 64 bit and 32 bit Shark. Using Windows 7 Media Center, streamed or from Acer's hard drive, all 1080p content is jittery or totally unwatchable. 720P content playes fine. Checked cpu resources for 1080p attempts and it was averaging around 45% on semi watchable movies. Did not check cpu on movies that were totally unwatchable. I also tried the latest XBMC player build that has DXVA support. With that support turned on, half of the Blue ray rips (in MKV with same file size as original blue ray files) played excellently. The other half that I tried had random moisly green pixles on bottom half of screen. CPU usage was averaging around 10%. I tried Boxxee, which says it has gpu accelaration. Two movies that would not work in XBMC worked, others did not. CPU usage percent was low also. Was also thinking of trying Meida Center classic. Ultimately, it looks like if I could get DXVA to work in windosw meida center, it seems these should all play perfectly in win 7 media center. Sorry for the long post but more details might help some one to help me. How can I get these HD movies to play flawlessly in Media Center, XBMC or in some other player. Thanks for any assistance.

I would try VLC.

Thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention I did try it (VLP) and works great on my main (I5) pc but would not work at all with the acer 3610.

Most likely the problem is that UAC is turned off on your system.

There are parts of the registry that continue to be locked down and without you providing proper 'administrative rights' (even though you are the administrator) through the UAC interface, these values cannot be written to the registry. The registration of codecs fails to be carried out properly, and nothing works as it should.

Set UAC at its default level.
Uninstall the Shark007 software (x64 package 1st)
Reboot

re-install the Shark007 software and make adjustments (suggested settings etc) with UAC still active. To the best of my knowledge, UAC can be turned of after making settings if that is your choice. In the future, if you wish to make further changes, you would have to re-enable default UAC levels once again.

If your problem still isnt solved by re-enabling UAC,
I'd look to the 'bloat removal' and the services shutdown for the answer.

Thanks for the reply. I did have UAC in default. But I uninstalled and reinstalled both shark files (including x64) as suggested. All "bloatware is removed. It appears that I am able to play VC 1 files perfectly. But H264 seem to work fairly well video wise (on some but not all movies) but the audio is several seconds off. So my main problem is running H264 files. I have both dxva boxes checked in ffdshow dxva. I have suggested settings checked. Using 64 bit. Any particullar areas to look for that would prevent proper playing of h264???
