Hi all
I'm currently on contract in the UK and having to work on a Saturday afternoon -- not a normal case of affairs - but money is money. Actually I don't normally do support but I volunteered today and it's been REALLY QUIET.

So I switched on the TV and in between the TV period between the "Grand National" Horse race and Chelsea vs Aston Villa on the FA cup semi - final (Football) I noticed this nice snippet from the BBC.

BBC News - Why machines do not understand human speech

Enjoy.

Cheers

jimbo

cheers jimbo, was reading this earlier, thought it was interesting,

I actually played around with the built in speech recognition in Vista, and 7 and once you get used to a certain way of speaking to it, and it learns your voice patterns, its actually quite good, although far from perfect when i stopped using it and went back to my Ol' Trusty Mouse and keyboard i found it a very old fashioned way of doing things,
