Taskbar click - activate program instead of tabs view

Hi.
I saw that when I have more tabs opened in my browser and I switch to other program, come back to browser isn't possible with taskbar icon click - tabs menu is opening all the time. Little trick to avoid that is right click on taskbar -> properties and switch 'taskbar buttons' to any other option, but then the buttons are few times bigger (labels are turning on) and this is not 100% solution

Is it possible to reach the click=open effect without turning on labels? I can view/chose tabs by mouse hovering button on taskbar i don't want mouseclicking doing it.

C'mon guys, don't tell me noone else is annoyed by this
Just discovered that holding ctrl while clicking on taskbar gives the effect that i want, but holding this button is still to much, i want it as simpy as in xp.
