Desktop Shortcut & Some Folder Icons Corrupt, any fix?

all my shortcut icons have the small computer paper in front of them sowing there corrupt. also, my folder icons are fully corrupt. ive taken some steps to try to help but nothing seems to do it.

first, i deleted the cache.db file so it could regenerate and that did not help.

2nd, i removed some drivers from a install of PRO TOOLS 8 I installed and that also does not seem to help (this started after uninstalling pro tools)

is there any help on this topic? thanx ahead!

no it didnt seem to do the job. looks like i will have to do a full restore seeing i can not do a system restore cause the restores were deleted. i will wait a couple days to see what happens with it so please keep the feed back coming with options to try. thanx again!

i did a disk check also... no help:cry:
