I have an unusual problem and no idea how to solve it...

Windows 7
NVidia Hybrid SLI
NVidia GeForce GTX 260M
NVidia GeForce 9400
Wide screen laptop display

In Boost Performance mode everything is as it should be, with a wide screen aspect ratio, but if I switch to Save Power mode the aspect ratio changes to the 4:3 of standard, leaving a black bar on either side of my screen... (it also, annoyingly, shuffles my desktop icons around.)

When in Save Power mode, the slider that allows you to adjust the screen resolution only lists standard screen ratios.

I have, repeatedly, gone over the Display settings in the Control Panel as well as the nVidia settings, is there something I am missing here?

Thank you for your time and any help you can offer.

Oh, forgot to mention...
I can use the setting 'Use NVIDIA scaling' to fill the whole screen, but it is stretched a bit too much, the circular Start button becomes an oval... so, not really what I am looking for.

This might help, might not...

When in power saver mode:

Control Panel (All Programs) > Display > Screen Resolution > Advanced Settings > Monitor Tab > Uncheck the Box that says "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display"

Thanks, notsograymatter for responding, but it wasn't checked to begin with... worth a shot though. :)
