should I restore my primary hard drive or not

Recently my windows 7 froze at the welcome screen and I did a windows recovery from a disc provided for me. After I restored it, I wasn't able to see my secondary hard drive and I installed new programs. I finally got my secondary hard drive online and there was all my old data. If I restore this info from my secondary hard drive to my primary hard drive, will it wipe out all my new programs on the primary hard drive. There are pictures and video on it that I really want.:sarc:

Nope, just drag-n-drop the files onto the location you want on your new hard drive.

I personally do not use drag and drop because that is not a very precise way of doing things. Suggest you use Copy to Folder

Data restore == yes.
Program restore == no.

In other words, you can copy your data over but you can't copy your programs over.

Does this answer your question?

With pics and videos,
Select the library on your computer, then copy or move the files from your old disk over to those libraries.

Type WIN + E
In the Address bar (not in the search bar), type PICTURES
Hit the ENTER key

Follow a similar approach for your videos, however, type VIDEOS

The WIN key is that one with the funny looking, wavy flag on it.

Thank's for the tips. I have moved some files over, but now I have to figure out how to open Zb Thumbnail.info files. My Uniblue registry fixer doesn't fix that file. Oh well, on to the next problem.:cry:

I tried formating the second hard drive and it won't let me. I keep getting a ( windows was unable to complete the format ) message.:sick:

I wonder if I uninstall the drive, would it reinstall itself and then all would be right with the world.

If you uninstalled the drive in Device Manager, it would install the drivers again on the next reboot.

The computer is only 5months old. I'm going to send it back and let sager fix it up. I just didn't want to be without it for 1 or 2 months or however long it will take them to get it back to me.:cry:
