If Windows 7 installer wants you to load the SCSCI device driver in order to see the HD to install, then you'll need to find the driver for that device on the computer/device's SUpport Downloads webpage for your model, unzip it on stick or CD, then browse to it using the "Load Drivers" link on the "Where do you want to Install Win7" screen until the driver is picked up and installed and suddenly the HD appears on the screen.

If there is no Win7 driver, try Vista driver, or as a last resort XP driver.

Is the device showing in BIOS?

Did you run the Win7 Upgrade Advisor to see if the device is able to run in Win7? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx

As stated earlier, unzip the driver's files to a USB stick or CD, load them in at add Load Drivers link on the "Where do you want to install Windows" screen.
