Notepad (and Wordpad) Save Files Differently

I noticed that Notepad and also Wordpad save files differently in Windows 7. Here's what I mean: In the attachment, Notepad includes the file's full pathname when asking "Do you want to save changes...".

Windows XP asked simply "Do you want to save changes to Hello.txt?" without including the full path.

Is this something new in Windows 7?

Please be advised that both the above indications are same. In windows 7, it seems that they wanted to make the information about the file extension to be more clear to the user when we save it. There is nothing new other than the file extension is shown

Many thanks for your reply. I find it curious that Microsoft would decide, after all these years, that users need to know the full path when saving Notepad and Wordpad files, particularly when Windows Explorer seems to be de-emphasizing path names in the way it presents folders and files.

Nonetheless, this is a very small matter, so I'm not going to let it bother me. Thanks again for your help.

Just a little postscript:

The first time that I save a Wordpad or a Notepad file, the program asks:

"Do you want to save changes to Untitled?"

It does not ask:

"Do you want to save changes to C:\Users\Visitor\Desktop\Untitled?"

This leads me to believe that this behavior is far from intentional; it's more likely an error on Microsoft's part.
