Types of feedback Microsoft is looking for in RC

With RC coming out tomorrow I thought it would be a good idea to inform everyone of the types of feedback Microsoft is looking for this time around.

• Issues that prevent installation or upgrade
• Any issues that involve corruption or data loss
• Security issues
• Regressions from Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7 Beta (things worked before, but do not work now)
• Any application or device issues that would prevent you from using Windows 7 as your primary OS.
• Reproducible crashes or hangs (issues that you cannot reproduce will be captured by CEIP Telemetry)

Even though Microsoft have removed the feedback links, its still possible to send them feedback by running the command:
rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard.

For any one who wants there send feedback shortcut in the RC you can download this shortcut and place it on your desktop or anywhere else you want it.

Has anybody tried submitting a report? When I try I get the following error message when entering my credentials:

You need to sign into your live id: Home - Windows Live

Thanks for the feedback tool shortcut download. I now have it on my Quicklaunch which I also hacked...LOL.

Now if I could just get rid of this evaluation watermark.

Sorry, but that is the error message I get when I log in with my live id.

Apparently, MS has set up the RC to automatically send major issue details back to one of their servers.

While I think this is a great way for them to weed out the important info from the fluff, some users who monitor their ports a little closer will be ranting about their machines sending some data to some server somewhere, and if they find out it's an MS server they'll be screaming about MS snooping on them.
Of course those of us that actually DO read stuff about W7 will know just how benign this is...but there will be plenty who see Big Brother MS spying on them..

Thanks for clearing that up. Perhaps there should be a sticky on the forum cos I'm sure this is going to rear it's head again.
