Clean install using factory restore discs?

Hello!

I've noticed that my computer is underperforming after that I have done a factory reset using the Acer eRecovery Management. Windows Experience Index shows lower values, the boot is slower, and my CPU seems to go worse. It can go up to 60-70% at startup. It didn't when I had just bought the computer, which is the period when I had not reset the computer.

I wonder if I can I format the c-drive and then do a clean install of the operating system using the factory restore discs...? Is it possible to do without doing any harm to my computer or restore disc? But the big question is: Does it work?

It will definitely not harm your computer and it should work. I prefer to restore from the recovery partition. If you post the make of your PC, I might have the exact procedure.
But in any case, make sure you backup your data - unless that is in a seperate data partition..

It's a clean reinstall only in the sense you are returning it to factory condition, with all of the corrupting bloatware that most tech enthusiasts would not allow.

A real clean install would be finding a clean-copy of your version of Win7 and installing it using the Product Key stickered to your machine.

You won't have any of the useless Acer bloatware, either. Just losing the network connection manager and using Win7 superior manager will shave 20-30 seconds off your bootup time.

Any drivers or apps (cam, card reader, fingerprint, etc) you do need can be found on the Suport Downloads webpage for your model or an apps disk if it was supplied.

When you had created restore discs, you should have one entirely dedicated to the Apps & Drivers...You can boot install from your created restore discs, it will just ask you at end of process if want to reinstall Apps & Drivers. After it is a matter of what you expect from the install.:)
