Remove Sounds in Control Panel

Greetings,

I've uninstalled WS_FTP, however the program events are still in the Control Panel. How do I remove the sounds from the Control Panel? I'm assuming I have to edit the registry.

I downloaded Revo Uninstaller 1.88, but it doesn't have the ability to remove sounds in the Control Panel left over after an uninstall.

Sounds in Control Panel

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Click Hardware and Sound
  3. Click Change system sounds.
When I scroll down the list, there are a bunch of program events that begin with "WSFTP" that I would like to get rid of.

#10 in the article only shows how to delete sound schemes. I'm trying to delete the Program Events left over from a program that I uninstall.

Junk Files Cleaner

I've tried it.

The Junk Files Cleaner shows 1,643 files. Mostly temp files and thumbnails, but no Control Panel options.

I'm guessing that the Control Panel settings are actually stored in the registry, but I don't know where.

Yes.you need to use regedit by deleting the respective keys from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ AppEvents\ EventLabels and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ AppEvents\ Schemes\ Apps\ .Default. Feel free to ask:)
