Desperate need of help

Please help me I have many questions my pc speakers pop every few seconds and my microphone inputs are monitoring this pop I belive I have broken my sound card. My cheapest option would be a usb sound card I belive but could I use this like a standard sound card and set it up to work with my laptops internal speakers?

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is no way to hook up your laptop speakers to an external sound card, at least without some serious electrical wiring work.

How long has this problem been going on?

As of yesterday I think I have destroyed my sound card I put way too much power into the mic input whilst recording something would such a problem be covered under warranty

If it was your fault, I doubt they will cover it. If the part was defective, there is a good chance they will.

Is it diffucult to get hold of a replacement sound card and replace it

If it's built-in to your motherboard, yes. You would have to replace the entire motherboard (expensive!).

I think your best bet is buying a USB card. If you would like recommendations, just ask.

I had my pc linked up to a mixer via the output from the mixer into the mic input of my laptop I have done this hundreds of tins with no troubles but it was when I connected the cd input of the mixer to the output of the laptop so I could hear what has been recorded there was a crackle from the headphones and hasn't been the same since sorry for any mistakes as this is typed from my iPod as my laptop is being repaired
