Hi everybody,

I'm just wondering if there is any method to customize or outlook to send automatically a copy of all sent messages to his own inbox folder?
I know, this is possible but it should be done manually by adding his own email each time we want to receive a copy. But I'm looking for a tip that will allow me to automatically receive in my inbox a copy of all sent emails without need to add manually my address whenever I send an email!
In fact, I looking for this, because all my messages in the "inbox" folder will be backed up and recovered easily while I noticed that emails in the "sent messages" folder are always lost after backing up my outlook folders!

If somebody has any advice or tip, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I think Rules should do the trick. Just create an 'after sending rule' to save all sent items to the Inbox, then go to Tools, Options, Email Options and remove the check to save sent items in the Sent Items folder.

Here was what I had ready to post :)

"All about the Rules here.. Create an 'after sending rule' to save all sent items to the Inbox. After that, go to Tools > Options > Email Options and uncheck save sent items in the Sent Items folder."

So this do exist! Thanx a lot guys!
But, I'm sorry, I'm still a little bit confused!
Firstly, I have to create a new rule and name it "after sending rule", this is what you are saying right ? or this rule is already there? Because I don't see it in the list of the new available rules when I clic on new rule?
There are by-default rules which are not modifiable and I don't see any rule related to sent messages :(
There is only for specific word, sender...in the subject, but nothing about sent message!
I'm certainly lost !
Thank you again in advance for your clarification.

You must name it, the name you give is actually your choice.

Thank you. Actually I can't set it for any sent message! Because I have to select previously the addresses from the contact list to be applied on!
That is, it will not be applied on messages sent to non selected addresses in the contact list !
What a pity!

The steps would be more or less the same. Just try it out. I linked it only because there are pictures that easy to understand.

It's true, it is well done with pictures and this is exactly what I need!
I tried to follow the steps described but I don't have the same result!
For example, in step 3 there is nothing selected and though in step 4 there is an alert message: this will be applied to every message you send: is this correct)!
I don't have the same in outlook 2007 !
