what drivers besides graphics card would you all recommend to keep up to date

Generally speaking, video, motherboard, SATA controller,drives, network cards and I'd also consider Firmware updates for the mobo, drives and video cards.

have every thing except i heard updating your motherboard is risky

Well there are risks in upgrading BIOS, firmware and to be honest there is a certain amount of risk with drivers at time. Taking the precautions given by the manufacturer in doing these things will generally minimize them though and there are many here who would gladly walk you through them.
