audiodg memory leak?

I recently upgraded my PC; new mobo, cpu and ram, and reinstalled windows 7 x64 pro. And I've noticed that when gaming, the audiodg.exe file has been leaking memory, inflating up to sizes over 1Gb.

I found this: A memory leak issue occurs in the Audiodg.exe process when you play audio on a computer that is running Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008

And downloaded the hotfix and applied it, but that's not helped, I spent a couple of hours playing CS:Source this evening and its just hit 1Gb of memory. Ending the task is a temporary solution, it closes the file which then reopens soon after back at a nice small size, but it soon inflates again with use.

Obviously something's not right, but I'm not sure what. My sound card is a creative X-Fi Xtreme gamer, running the latest (2.18.0015) drivers... Anyone know other fixes for this?

Hello iviv, you are not alone. Most blame creative, but then why is MS fixing (or trying) to fix it. Want to have a read? Geek alert, but maybe helpful

Sonic Focus Inc. speedily fixes leaky Windows Vista audio drivers

The creative guys are all b*tching about it too. I'd say a new Creative driver fix will be needed.
