I've recently have fallen victim to the BSOD plague, I have the error report. I reformatted with the most recent version of Windows 7 I could find, (previously have windows 7 also). It's been happening for about 20 days no, on average 1 time a day. I can't get a decent answer as to why "hardware hardware hardware" "reformat". Well I did reformat, but hardware is such a vague answer. Does anyone have/had this exact error as well? :[

While I do the DMP file, I can tell you a 124 Bugcheck invariably is caused by hardware. Please use these instructions to find out what that means and what to try.

I know that it is hardware related but considering no hardware has been added/or upgraded I'm not sure where to even begin, I've updated drivers, and even completely wiped and re-installed vanilla wow already. It's definitely not driver related, i'm 99% positive because it everything worked fine, I'm thinking its a specific piece of hardware (obviously) I just can't figure out what or where to begin... friend says most likely its memory (IE reseat ram sticks).. but some forums say 124 is video card related? IDK.

124 is often CPU, hard drive, video card, and RAM related.

For RAM:
JK said:
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

For CPU: Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

For hard drive: HD Diagnostic

I just reseated my RAM sticks which seems to be the simple way to go, so I will see if that works, if it does I will post, if I get a 124 bsod I will then try all of those, respectively and post each result.
