Hi. thanks for the information. As I said, we were using the win7 driver for the hardware but there isn't one yet for the software so the software wasn't recognising the device and would not work....

It's definately the M-Audio USB wotsit. The bluescreen only happens when the interface/hardware is connected and the computer is left to go into standby....
