I forgot to say in the original post that it doesn't show up in the Disc manager. The disc as a whole does show up in device manager so it's not a dodgy SATA cable :p

It is an NTFS (Windows filesystem format) that dosn't show up in Windows, but does in Ubuntu. All my files etc are...

Partition doesn't show up

Windows 7 has it's own 80gb harddrive but i have another HDD with Ubuntu 9.10 in a 20GB partition and a sharedNTFS in the remaining 130~ GB.

The NTFS partition used to show up in 'My Computer'...

i don't have UAC disabled and i can't launch the 'gadgets' menu. The ones i already had open are showing up fine, but i can't add any more once i close them. Is this a bug?

I posted in another thread but i think maybe my problem is different.

I had a BSOD and rebooted etc. Since then i have no gadgets nor can i display any shortcuts on the desktop or any files....

WEI really low for HDD - wasn't in Vista or Windows 7 x86

Curious as to why my HDD scores so low in the WEI of Windows 7 x64.

In the x86 version of Windows 7 (same 7000 build) it scored 5.1, in Vista Ultimate x64 it also scored 5.1 yet in Windows 7 x64...

Just a tip, but the title of that post doesn't tell you what's in it. For "news" your blog title/post title/thread title etc should be like a newspaper headline: i.e tell the reader what they need...
