similar problem - but now in boot repair jail

had a similar problem - and ran the Windows Repair 3 times times and got a message that ntoskrnl.exe was corrupt. Ended up running Repair using my install disk and that message went away. Now it says...

Interesting result of all of this.... My printer crashed and I removed ALL the HP software and I no longer seem to have the problems I have been experiencing - just blind luck or coincidence? Hmmm....

Took a while to replicate the problem... logoffs and shutdowns started working... no changes that I noted.... then another set of BSODs with the Driver_Power_State_Failure.

Ok - will try again to have the dump...

Ok - will try again to have the dump complete....and be back to you later this evening..... Don't know why the display drivers aren't there.... Maybe they will show up this next boot....
