That sounds like a driver issue. Something isn't playing well on wake up. Make sure all devices have the latest and greatest drivers, especially video.

Bottom line is, if you have multiple machines with similar problems, YOU are the common factor among those machines. Therefore something you are installing, changing, etc. is causing the issue.
