in rescue mode; in bit defefender scan all devices i.e hd0, hd1, hd2, any usb devices...etc then restart do a full system scan (select every device) then do it all again again.

after using most of the other av/malware programs over the last 20years I am now converted to bitdefender.
it has loads of useful additions to look after your pc including a rescue mode ie reboots...

duel core 64 still no problems.
