Mouse Driver - cannot install Trackball Explorer

PC and Dell laptop have almost identical W7 systems. PC installs/runs latest 64bit MS Trackball Explorer driver (Download- IPx64_1033_8.20.468.0.exe) OK.

But laptop will not install (code:1603)

Slow network W7 'Easy Transfer' between PCs ?

Using Easy Transfer from a Win7 desktop to a W7 laptop [over a network] a 17.5 GB data partition transfer took over 5hrs. It all went smoothly but ... is this a reasonable time ?
