I actually did have them in a folder, but the folder was called just "Temperature". Changed to "Temperature.Gadget" and it works fine. Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem until I uncheck the box to run WLM automatically. However, it still runs whenever I sign in to my Hotmail account. Any way to turn this off or just uninstall WLM?

Can't install gadget

I recently created a simple gadget for my Win7 Starter netbook. Copy the files to the Sidebar folder and my new gadget was available in the list of gadgets from the desktop. Installed it and it works...
