Yeah I agree it's a total pain. I'm not the best tech here certainly but I would say go ahead and get rid of it. I tried just ignoring Vista when i was upgrading to Windows 7 finally and it did not...

Oh you know what - I clicked something called ASUS optimized settings last time I went into BIOS. I bet that's what's letting it overclock. But do you have any ideas about the heat issue?
