Thanks, I flashed my BIOS and also downloaded new drivers directly from Etron. I still have to physically remove the USB cord even if I cut the power to the drive after a safe remove but now it goes...

First I want to say that the drive works without problems at the correct speed. The problems come upon disconnect. I also want to to stress that USB 2.0 discs are working flawlessly.
