I use Unlimited Web Hosting, they are very cheap but extremely reliable and support is very good and quick and there is also no contract, just pay every month and cancel whenever you dont want it.

It depends what hosting provider you are with and which control panel you have (cPanel, Plesk etc).

It maybe that you don't have a Web Application Firewall or if you do then maybe you can see it...

I have had similar issues to this in the past and it was due to the Web Application Firewall within the hosting control panel blocking certain actions, i had to create a rule to allow those actions.
